About my blogs

Hello, welcome to my blog site.
I use these pages to not only promote my book series:
Crystal Waters, but so you can get a taste of what
really goes on behind the scence, so-to-speak.
My thoughts, idea's and feelings are poured lovely into, what I call, my diary for all to see.
I'm sure there will be many happy moments, emotional traumas and doubts, but it will all enhance my
intention; to capture an honest and heartfelt progression-log of my life, as a writer.
Hope you enjoy :) Any comments are most welcome.

Preparing for the book launch

Well, as the saying goes; so much to do and not enough time to do it in.
I figured because I'm not that confident, at the moment, about public speaking I would try using some backup props. I have written a short opening speech that leads onto a DVD, which I'm compiling, and will play this while I'm signing books.

My DVD consists of a pre-recorded voice of me reading out one of my chapters with an acoustic guitar piece of music, playing in the background, composed and played by my friend Chris who has kindly agreed to help me out.

Of course there's just a bit more to it than that; also on the DVD will be the faerie song, I have written for this chapter, sung by Alice and all recorded by Keith, some more of my lovely friends. This will be all pieced together with a slide show of images I have collected by my lovely daughter Emma. Fingers crossed it all pulls together nicely.

My song Alice is singing:

Where the whispers in the trees
Talk on a distant breeze
And if you stay so still
Our voices must instill
The ones that will foresee
My friends be wary please

 Midsummer is all around
Where devilry can be found
Hear my song that I will tell you now
The music he does play is so adored
The one who plays this, do not ignore
His name be Hypno, a God once crowned
And he comes . . . without sound

Upon his flute he does play
When the sun has gone for the day
His haunting music, it does sweep
Your head will spin, it sends you all to sleep

Midsummer is all around
Where devilry can be found
Hear my song that I will tell you now
The music he does play is so adored
The one who plays this do not ignore
His name be Hypno, a God once crowned
And he comes . . .

So remember this that I implore to you
Nothing must pass thy lips
Each and all your Fellowship

The music he does play is so adored
The one who plays this do not ignore
His name be Hypno, a God once crowned
And he comes . . . without sound
. . . Sound
 . . . Sound

Here are a few images I am using with their related sentences:

Butterflies fluttered around them and birds swooped down to catch bugs in their beaks. This was by far the most beautiful place they had ever seen.

Perseas looked at all three of them in turn. ‘Hypnos was, in his time, a powerful God of sleep. But he was outcast and he now lives a life in the underworld. His powers are weakened and he is more like a mortal man every day. But the day that he is at his most powerful is Midsummers day. It is this day he can send an unexpecting traveller to sleep and when asleep he will steal all his belongings.

Both the girls jumped at the haunting song of a howling wolf, which sounded as if it wasn’t too far away.

Emma knew the lengths they had gone to in retrieving the potion and the thought of returning back to the old hag was unbearable.

Grace watched Pigasos glide down from the skies and saw Ceber run to her giving
her a playful lick on her muzzle.

Recording day:

We spent a very exciting day yesterday over at my friends house where we recorded the Faerie song.

So that's a wrap for now. Hopefully we have done enough material to compile a great DVD for everyone to watch at the launch. Wish me luck :)

At this present time it is only available to buy from Feed A Read but when it does go to the likes of Amazon and other booksellers I will give you more links.

And as you can see by my smiley face, I'm so pleased to hold my very own book, Crystal Waters - It Began in Europe, in my hands at last.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it.

Happy Reading Everyone :)
